Flying Lotus has utilised AR technology to reward fans that have gone down the traditional route of buying a physical copy of his album. Head to FlyingLotus.com to download the app, which is compatible on both PC and Mac, although you will obviously need a webcam. Once installed, the app detects the unique patterns found on copies of the album to grant you access to grant you access to exclusive tracks, remixes…and an amazing new way to make music.

Although the album artwork detection is impressive here, what makes the app really worthwhile is the ability to make your own Lotus-inspired sounds simply by waving your hands in front of your monitor.
