I’m not a huge fan of playing games on my iPhone but I quite liked Real Racing due to the lack of on-screen buttons. I’ve always found the limited screen real-estate on mobile devices means that cluttering the display with too many touch sensitive buttons makes for a frustrating experience.
In the second instalment of Real Racing, now suitably beefed up to take advantage of the processor found in the iPad 2, Firemint have allowed you to hook up the game to your big screen. Doing this not only shows just how much detail they’ve managed to pack into a mobile game but also utilises everyone’s favourite Apple tablet as a steering wheel. It lets your iPad screen become a secondary display to show maps, HUD etc. Impressive stuff. And another reason to cough up for an over-priced Apple accessory.
