Dutch bicycle company VANMOOF are to launch their new M2 collection this April. Although I’ve always admired the aesthetics of these bikes, previous incarnations required you to charge the built-in lighting system with a USB adapter. Not anymore. Following a partnership with Philips, the new bikes have lights powered by dynamo. Neat.
And don’t think that because they’re pedal-powered they won’t be safe. Inspired by the LED technology used in cars for years now, these lights give off an impressive power beam of 40lux and 320 degrees of visiblity. They also stay on for 90 seconds after you come to a stand-still.
